The NSA ArcGuard® ARC40B Performance Arc Flash 50" Trench Coat delivers CAT 4 arc flash protection in a lightweight, flexible design built for improved comfort and mobility. Featuring advanced GORE® PYRAD® fabric technology, this single-layer arc flash coat provides an arc rating of 41 cal/cm² while significantly reducing the bulk traditionally associated with 40 cal arc flash PPE.
Constructed from lightweight 9.5 oz GORE® PYRAD® fabric, the ARC40B is designed to be up to 20% lighter, 48% thinner, and 56% more flexible than other premium arc flash suits. The reduced weight and ergonomic construction help improve freedom of movement and reduce the fatigue and discomfort associated with heavier arc flash clothing.
GORE® PYRAD® comfort science also helps keep workers cool, dry, and comfortable while performing demanding electrical work. The result is high-level arc flash protection without unnecessarily sacrificing mobility or wearer comfort.
