A full facepiece forms a tight seal around the wearer’s face and covers the eyes, nose and mouth. They combine respiratory protection with integrated face and eye coverage while maintaining a seal around the wearer’s face.
This collection includes two distinct types of respiratory protection. Air-purifying full face respirators draw ambient air through compatible filters or cartridges, while supplied-air facepieces receive breathing air from an independent source through an approved airline system. The two technologies use different components and must not be treated as interchangeable.
Choose a facepiece based on the identified respiratory hazard, contaminant concentration, required protection level, facepiece size and fit, and the demands of the work being performed. Air-purifying models must be fitted with filters or cartridges approved for the exact facepiece series and selected for the relevant particles, gases or vapours. Products described as “respirator only” or “facepiece only” do not include filters, cartridges or other system components unless expressly stated.
Every tight-fitting facepiece must be correctly sized and fit-tested before workplace use. Facial hair, eyewear or other equipment must not interfere with the sealing surface, and the wearer should perform a seal check whenever the respirator is put on.
Air-purifying respirators do not supply oxygen and must not be used in oxygen-deficient or immediately dangerous to life or health atmospheres. Supplied-air facepieces must be used only with the manufacturer’s compatible components, within their approved configuration and stated use limitations. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the requirements of your workplace respiratory-protection program.
