OSHA issued final rule eliminating requirement for electronic submission of Forms 300 and 301
- Form 300 - Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses
- Form 301 - Injury and Illness Incident Report
- Maintenance of these forms are still required on-site and are still subject to inspections and enforcement actions
- Eliminating electronic reporting avoids risk of personal information being publicly disclosed under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
- Form 300A (Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses) still requires electronic submission
- OSHA has determined that this final rule will allow OSHA to improve enforcement targeting and compliance assistance, protect worker privacy and safety, and decrease burden on employers.
